ABOUT RED GALLUSES

An independent publication from the editor of Red Galluses.

We began by researching the Talmadge family and its political machine. The work led us into more of Georgia life than we had expected, and gave us a reason to keep looking.

Red Galluses now covers history, politics and Southern life, from the people who exercise power to the food, places and culture around them. Our weekly newsletter is The Statesman.

The Talmadge Research Project remains an ongoing part of the publication. It draws on unusual access to family archives and research in university collections.
